Somewhere a general manager is explaining how TreVeyon Henderson got past him. The Eagles do not have to explain a thing at pick 128. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
The cornerback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the cornerback spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 31 they get a rangy last line of defense, outstanding value to boot.
The board fumbled Tyler Warren all the way to pick No. 63, and they scooped it up. The roster fit checks out.
Jihaad Campbell in slot 95 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
A running back of that caliber at the Round 4 slot is the definition of value, full stop. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Jake Majors at pick 160 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Circle this one: Smael Mondon Jr. at the 164th overall pick is a fall that decides a draft. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Ryan Fitzgerald at the 166th pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It is more luxury than necessity; they were already set here.
