The Raiders spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Bhayshul Tuten, the No. 153 name on the board, in the Round 6 slot. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.
They have staked the next five years on Cam Ward, which is the only story that really matters here. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. They are betting Simpkins III proves the room right and everyone else wrong.
The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick-by-Pick

A running back of that caliber at pick 213 is the definition of value, full stop. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
A wild overpay on Torricelli Simpkins III in the 215th overall pick, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
