The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Eagles watched TreVeyon Henderson slide 86 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.
For all the activity, cornerback went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Jackson reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the cornerback spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
The board had cheaper options than Landon Jackson at Round 1, Pick 29, and it noticed. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Harold Fannin Jr. at pick 72 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
A offensive lineman of that caliber at the 93rd overall pick is the definition of value, full stop. The roster fit checks out.
Taking Jake Majors in the Round 4 slot is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
TreVeyon Henderson in slot 157 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
The board had DeMonte Capehart higher than the 159th pick, and the interior defensive lineman fell to them anyway. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Steal is underselling it; Danny Stutsman at pick No. 165 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
