This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Matt Goncalves, the No. 107 name on the board, stolen at pick 154. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.
Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 5 of 9 of the wish list covered.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but cornerback.

In slot 32 they get a true top target at a price that makes it sweeter. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
You do not let an offensive lineman like Taliese Fuaga reach No. 51 and blink. They did not. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Kamren Kinchens at Round 2, Pick 32 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Circle this one: Max Melton at the Round 5 slot is a fall that decides a draft. Where it fits the depth chart is the real question.
A offensive lineman of that caliber at the 154th pick is the definition of value, full stop. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Joe Milton III at pick No. 172 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A need, and now a little less of one.
Malachi Moore in pick 178 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. The roster logic is harder to follow.
Carson Steele at the 238th overall pick is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It fills a real need, too.
They will replay Jordan Whittington at No. 253 for years; that is how good the value is. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Joshua Gray at the Round 7 slot is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
