The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Javon Bullard, Round 3, Pick 32, roughly 31 picks past where he belonged. It does the job without flash, and the B+ reflects it.

They will need Steele to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The phones were where this weekend was really won.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. Spending an early pick on safety with edge rusher, wide receiver and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
