When a board-topper like TreVeyon Henderson slides to the Round 5 slot, you do not overthink it, and the Vikings did not. A near-flawless weekend of work, and a A- to cap it.
Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want.
Bottom line, they did the job about as well as it can be done.
Pick-by-Pick
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Nick Emmanwori at pick No. 25. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
They robbed the room for Demetrius Knight Jr. here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
They will replay Jake Majors at slot 138 for years; that is how good the value is. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
TreVeyon Henderson at No. 159 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A need, and now a little less of one.
The board fumbled Smael Mondon Jr. all the way to Round 5, Pick 28, and they scooped it up. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
