The board owed the Cardinals one, and it paid up: Jamari Thrash, the No. 170 name on the board, sitting there at Round 7, Pick 7 like a gift left on the doorstep. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
