The Raiders' one glaring miss is edge rusher, a need they left exactly as they found it. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.
The Fisher steal is the beam this whole class leans on. Every board in the league had Eichenberg lower, and that gap is the story.
A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly. They went 4 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 13th pick they get a run-stuffing presence up front at fair value.
Kalen King at pick No. 46 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
No drama and no debate, Cooper Beebe went about where he belonged in No. 77. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Tommy Eichenberg in pick 112 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Circle this one: Blake Fisher at the Round 4 slot is a fall that decides a draft. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
By-the-book stuff, Jaylen Wright at slot 150 squarely in line with his ranking. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
They did well to land Nathaniel Watson in the 234th pick, just ahead of his grade. It is more luxury than necessity; they were already set here.
Dwight McGlothern at pick No. 235 is a conviction pick that outran the value. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Donovan Jennings at No. 255 is the proof. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Tatum Bethune at pick 256. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
