This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Tre Harris, the No. 23 name on the board, stolen at pick No. 216. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
For all the activity, tight end went untouched, which is hard to explain. They went 7 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but tight end.
Pick-by-Pick
Travis Hunter in pick 8 lands just on the right side of the ledger. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
You do not let an offensive lineman like Wyatt Milum reach No. 39 and blink. They did not. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Cam Ward in pick No. 69 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. The roster fit checks out.
They robbed the room for Jalon Walker here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Steal is underselling it; Walter Nolen at the Round 4 slot is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
The board fumbled Josaiah Stewart all the way to Round 5, Pick 9, and they scooped it up. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
They barely believed it either: Cam Skattebo still on the board at the 183rd pick. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
They will replay Dylan Fairchild at slot 212 for years; that is how good the value is. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Tre Harris in the 216th overall pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Taking Malachi Moore in slot 223 is close to grand larceny; a safety that good had no business lasting this long. A minor itch, scratched.
