The Eagles did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Tyler Guyton fell into slot 50. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
Pick-by-Pick
A clean, defensible pick in the 22nd overall pick with a little surplus value in Quinyon Mitchell. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
You do not let an offensive lineman like Tyler Guyton reach slot 50 and blink. They did not. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
No edge and no loss on Adisa Isaac in the 53rd pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Tyrone Tracy Jr. in pick 120 is fair value, right on his grade. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Tommy Eichenberg at Round 5, Pick 25 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
They took Tip Reiman at par in the Round 5 slot, which is nothing to complain about. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Steal is underselling it; Tanor Bortolini at No. 172 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
