The Eagles spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Kalen King, the No. 139 name on the board, in the 171st overall pick.
That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. On the needs board they went 5 of 9, with cornerback the one that mattered most. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get an island corner. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
A reasonable price with a little left over, T'Vondre Sweat in the 50th overall pick. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Good price on Edgerrin Cooper in slot 53, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A minor need, but a need all the same.
A straight-up fair deal on Beaux Limmer at pick 120, value and slot in agreement. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Tyrone Tracy Jr. at Round 5, Pick 25 is the proof. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
