After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Raiders committed. Jayden Daniels is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. More right than wrong, and a B to match.
Getting Jordan where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 13th pick they get a franchise quarterback. A clean fit for the roster.
Somehow Keon Coleman was still sitting there in Round 2, Pick 12, and they pounced on premier wide receiver value. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
They paid sticker price for Khyree Jackson in No. 103, and that is fine. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Blake Fisher at slot 112 is money in the bank, a offensive lineman taken below his worth. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
No edge and no loss on Ben Sinnott in the 139th overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Isaiah Adams at pick 150 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Michael Barrett at the Round 6 slot is the proof. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
A top-tier running back at a bargain, Jawhar Jordan in pick No. 234, plain and simple. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
