The Texans torched the value chart for Kamal Hadden, taking him 44 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted.
With quarterback, tight end and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on TE-EDGE is the choice that costs them. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Henderson. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 29 they get juice off the edge. Exactly the need they had to hit.
A tidy little value on Cooper Beebe in Round 2, Pick 21, a step better than break-even. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Tory Horton at No. 92 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, TreVeyon Henderson at pick No. 95. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Fair-plus on Tyler Davis, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They talked themselves into Darius Robinson at pick 121, and the board did not agree. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.

Ainias Smith in the Round 5 slot is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
