The rest of the league will want that one back. Christian Mahogany tumbling to the Raiders in the 112th pick is a gift they did not have to think twice about.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
Nate Wiggins in pick 13 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
They took Byron Murphy II at par in slot 44, which is nothing to complain about. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Christian Haynes. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Christian Mahogany at the Round 4 slot is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
They paid sticker price for Dylan Laube in the 150th overall pick, and that is fine. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Fair-plus on Theo Wease Jr., a quiet win that adds up over a draft. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Darius Muasau in pick No. 234 is fair value, right on his grade. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
