The board owed the Raiders one, and it paid up: Cam Skattebo, the No. 110 name on the board, sitting there at No. 212 like a gift left on the doorstep.
They have staked the next five years on Cam Ward, which is the only story that really matters here. They are betting White proves the room right and everyone else wrong.
They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.

Billy Bowman Jr. at pick 178 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
A running back of that caliber at the 212th pick is the definition of value, full stop. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Aydan White at the 216th overall pick is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
