Everything else got attention, and edge rusher got none. That is a strange way for the Raiders to leave a draft. No fireworks, but a solid B-.
They will need Rattler to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a blindside protector at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Jackson Powers-Johnson in the 44th pick is fair value, right on his grade. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
A reach on Spencer Rattler in pick No. 77; the board had better options right there. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Leonard Taylor III in No. 112 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It fills a real need, too.
Braelon Allen at slot 150 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
They paid up for Isaiah Williams at Round 6, Pick 15 when waiting would have done the job. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
They took Nathaniel Watson at par in pick 234, which is nothing to complain about. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
