Boards are made to be trusted, and the Vikings shredded theirs for Brevyn Spann-Ford. He came off 62 spots early, and the room will hear about it. More right than wrong, and a B to match.
The Jones pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. A whole weekend of picks and wide receiver is somehow still a want.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the wide receiver spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
A reasonable price with a little left over, Bralen Trice in the 25th overall pick. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
A conviction pick on T'Vondre Sweat at pick 48 that the board grades a round light. It fills a real need, too.
A market-rate safety, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Calen Bullock. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They jumped the gun on Zach Frazier, taking him earlier than his grade liked. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
A wild overpay on Michael Pratt in slot 85, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Blake Fisher at Round 4, Pick 15. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
No drama and no debate, Darius Robinson went about where he belonged in the 125th pick. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
They will replay Khyree Jackson at No. 130 for years; that is how good the value is. A minor need, but a need all the same.
The board had Cam Hart higher than pick No. 148, and the cornerback fell to them anyway. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Layden Robinson in the 155th overall pick, miles early. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Isaiah Davis in the Round 5 slot is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
A big swing on Justin Walley at slot 165, well ahead of any board in the building. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.

Jabbar Muhammad at Round 6, Pick 44 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
Christian Jones at pick 230 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
You do not let a linebacker like Jordan Magee reach pick No. 238 and blink. They did not. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
The board fumbled Myles Jones all the way to the Round 7 slot, and they scooped it up. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
