The Raiders did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Gabriel Murphy fell into pick No. 150. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
They punted on tight end, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They are betting Rattler proves the room right and everyone else wrong.
Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but tight end.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 13 they get an anchor for the offensive line, and a steal at that. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Somehow Malik Nabers was still sitting there in pick 44, and they pounced on premier wide receiver value. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Spencer Rattler in No. 77 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. A need, and now a little less of one.
They will replay Mike Sainristil at the 112th overall pick for years; that is how good the value is. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Gabriel Murphy in slot 150 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Braelon Allen at the Round 6 slot is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Steal is underselling it; Gabe Hall at pick No. 234 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
