The Eagles did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Cornelius Johnson fell into pick 210.
The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. On the needs board they went 4 of 9, with cornerback the one that mattered most.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a bendy edge with upside. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
No edge and no loss on Edgerrin Cooper in Round 2, Pick 18; it is a wash and a sensible one. A minor need, but a need all the same.
T.J. Tampa at pick 53 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
A market-rate wide receiver, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Johnny Wilson. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
