The Eagles' one glaring miss is wide receiver, a need they left exactly as they found it. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 22 they get a disruptor off the edge at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
A market-rate linebacker, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Edgerrin Cooper. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
T.J. Tampa at the 53rd overall pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
No drama and no debate, Theo Johnson went about where he belonged in the Round 4 slot. A need, and now a little less of one.
Kitan Oladapo at the 161st pick is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the safety. It fills a real need, too.
Kamal Hadden at pick No. 171 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Grayson Murphy at No. 172 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
