The Eagles spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Roger Rosengarten, the No. 146 name on the board, in Round 6, Pick 14. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
Pick-by-Pick
Chop Robinson in the 22nd pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
You do not let an offensive lineman like Tyler Guyton reach slot 50 and blink. They did not. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
No drama and no debate, Xavier Worthy went about where he belonged in pick 53. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Steal is underselling it; Jaylen Wright at No. 97 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A need, and now a little less of one.
The board had Tykee Smith higher than Round 5, Pick 24, and the safety fell to them anyway. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
They barely believed it either: Jarrian Jones still on the board at pick No. 170. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Kamal Hadden at the 171st overall pick nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Ty'Ron Hopper in the Round 6 slot is fair value, right on his grade. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Roger Rosengarten at slot 189 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
