Start where it matters. The Vikings took J.J. McCarthy to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B+.

The Jones pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class.

Leaving safety unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. If Eichenberg pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.
