They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Jayden Daniels is the Cardinals' quarterback, full stop.
Leaving wide receiver unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Quarterback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but wide receiver.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 4 they get a passer to set the clock by. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
In the 27th pick they get protection for the quarterback at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Chop Robinson in pick No. 35 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They paid sticker price for Payton Wilson in Round 3, Pick 2, and that is fine. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
A clean, defensible pick in the Round 3 slot with a little surplus value in Caelen Carson. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
A straight-up fair deal on Sedrick Van Pran at No. 90, value and slot in agreement. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
