Start where it matters. The Raiders took Bo Nix to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. A dependable weekend that grades out a B+.
That is a safety worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 32 they get a long-term answer under center. A clean fit for the roster.
A top-tier cornerback at a bargain, Kool-Aid McKinstry in the 44th overall pick, plain and simple. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Christian Haynes at the 77th pick is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Brenden Rice in slot 112. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Value with a capital V on Isaiah Adams in pick 148, a genuine coup. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
The board fumbled Tommy Eichenberg all the way to Round 5, Pick 37, and they scooped it up. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Kendall Milton at the Round 6 slot is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the running back. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Malik Mustapha in pick No. 223 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Steal is underselling it; Trente Jones at pick No. 229 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Circle this one: Tanner McLachlan at the Round 7 slot is a fall that decides a draft. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
