Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The Eagles never addressed interior defensive lineman, and it is the kind of gap that lingers.
On value alone, Latu makes the weekend a net positive. On the needs board they went 5 of 9, with cornerback the one that mattered most.
Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 22 they get a double-digit-sack hope at a price that makes it sweeter. The biggest hole, addressed.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Keon Coleman in pick 50. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
No drama and no debate, T.J. Tampa went about where he belonged in the 53rd pick. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Zak Zinter at Round 4, Pick 20. A need, and now a little less of one.
Sataoa Laumea in No. 161 is fair value, right on his grade. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
A straight-up fair deal on James Williams at slot 171, value and slot in agreement. A minor need, but a need all the same.
A market-rate tight end, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Jaheim Bell. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
