Every other box got a look, but offensive lineman did not. The Eagles will head to camp with the same hole they walked in with.
Every board in the league had Jones lower, and that gap is the story. The Nubin steal is the beam this whole class leans on.
On the needs board they went 6 of 9, with cornerback the one that mattered most.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but offensive lineman.
Pick-by-Pick
Dallas Turner at the 22nd overall pick is money in the bank, a edge rusher taken below his worth. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
By-the-book stuff, Edgerrin Cooper at No. 50 squarely in line with his ranking. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Tyler Nubin at Round 2, Pick 21 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A need, and now a little less of one.
Jarrian Jones at pick No. 120 is a conviction pick that outran the value. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Jaheim Bell at the Round 5 slot is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
They paid a round early for Cornelius Johnson in the 171st pick, more than the board wanted. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
A reach for Jordan Jefferson in pick 172; a little patience would have been rewarded. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
