Call it larceny. Quinn Ewers sat on the board until the 144th pick, and the Raiders did not need to be asked twice. Good, not great, and the B+ says as much.
They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. The Denzel Ward pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
Nick Emmanwori at the 33rd pick is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
A wide receiver of that caliber at pick No. 37 is the definition of value, full stop. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Kaleb Johnson in pick 68 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It fills a real need, too.
You do not let a wide receiver like Isaiah Bond reach Round 4, Pick 6 and blink. They did not. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
A top-tier quarterback at a bargain, Quinn Ewers in slot 144, plain and simple. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Chase Lundt at the Round 6 slot is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
The board had Jack Kiser higher than the 214th overall pick, and the linebacker fell to them anyway. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
They will replay Cobee Bryant at No. 218 for years; that is how good the value is. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Jordan Hancock at pick 224 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
