The Raiders spent the pick that matters most on Shedeur Sanders, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
The Huzzie reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. Landing Walker that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
A market-rate quarterback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Shedeur Sanders. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
They will replay Matthew Golden at the 37th pick for years; that is how good the value is. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Somehow Jalon Walker was still sitting there in No. 68, and they pounced on premier linebacker value. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Nothing to complain about; Riley Leonard went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Alijah Huzzie. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Raheim Sanders in pick No. 182 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. The roster fit checks out.
A slide stopped in slot 214, with Akili Arnold worth more than the price. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Theo Wease Jr. in the Round 6 slot is fair value, right on his grade. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Logan Parr in pick No. 224 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
