You build a draft on nights like this. Cam Skattebo had no business being available in pick No. 178, and the Raiders did the only sane thing and turned in the card. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

So much rides on Cam Ward that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. Every board in the league had Nash lower, and that gap is the story.

They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Carter pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with edge rusher, cornerback and other spots still on the board.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
