Some picks age like wine; Jordan Travis at the 112th pick will need to, sitting 60 spots clear of his grade. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.
Landing Torrence that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 13 they get protection for the quarterback. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
A reach for Braden Fiske in the 44th overall pick; a little patience would have been rewarded. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
They paid a round early for Javon Baker in Round 3, Pick 13, more than the board wanted. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Jordan Travis at the 112th pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Dylan Laube at the Round 5 slot is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. A need, and now a little less of one.
Ro Torrence at No. 208 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
They did well to land Garret Greenfield in pick 223, just ahead of his grade. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Tyrice Knight at slot 229 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
