Whoever sat across the table from the Raiders should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend.
If one pick saves this weekend, it is Milton III. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. Justin Fields gives the group a proven body among the projects.
If Murphy II pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 13 they get a disruptive interior force, though they paid up to get him. A real need, handled.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Brenden Rice at slot 77 is the proof. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
The board had Dominick Puni higher than pick 112, and the offensive lineman fell to them anyway. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
They read the board right and Cam Hart was the payoff at the 150th overall pick. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
They will replay Joe Milton III at the Round 6 slot for years; that is how good the value is. It fills a real need, too.
A clean, defensible pick in Round 7, Pick 14 with a little surplus value in Steele Chambers. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
