There is reaching, and then there is Spencer Rattler at slot 77. The Raiders jumped the board by 42 and dared it to prove them wrong.
Jackson falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. The cornerback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the cornerback spot they never got to.

They reached a country mile for Joshua Cephus at pick No. 229, and the board is aghast. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
