Thirty-one other rooms let Michael Barrett slide, and the Eagles were the ones holding the card at slot 226. Highway robbery. The bottom line is a respectable B+.
They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. They will need Gore Jr. to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Job largely done: cornerback settled and 9 of 9 of the wish list covered.
They bet on numbers rather than a single high pick.
