When the story of this class is written, it opens with Tahj Washington at slot 234, a reach of 128 spots that the board flatly disagrees with.
The Davis steal is the beam this whole class leans on. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.
Call it incomplete, and check back in a couple of seasons.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 13 they get a blindside protector, though the board says they badly overpaid. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Jackson Powers-Johnson in the 44th pick is fair value, right on his grade. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Spencer Rattler in pick 77 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
James Williams in the 112th overall pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Ray Davis at pick No. 150 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Dwight McGlothern. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Tahj Washington at pick No. 234 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
