The rest of the league will want that one back. Jaylen Wright tumbling to the Raiders in pick 148 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.
Everything downstream of Jayden Daniels depends on Jayden Daniels, and the building knows it. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 13 they get their guy under center for the next decade. A clean fit for the roster.
Tyler Guyton is a better player than the 44th pick suggests; smart patience, rewarded. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
A market-rate cornerback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Mike Sainristil. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Cedric Gray in pick No. 112 is fair value, right on his grade. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Jaylen Wright at the 148th pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
The board fumbled Tykee Smith all the way to slot 208, and they scooped it up. A minor itch, scratched.
Steal is underselling it; Tahj Washington at the 223rd overall pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
They will replay Erick All at pick 229 for years; that is how good the value is. A need, and now a little less of one.
