This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Lathan Ransom, the No. 102 name on the board, stolen at the 159th pick. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Safety is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 24 they get a workhorse for the backfield, outstanding value to boot.
Darien Porter in the 97th overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Jake Majors at slot 138 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They will replay Lathan Ransom at Round 5, Pick 22 for years; that is how good the value is. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
