The Eagles did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Trevor Keegan fell into pick 210.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 22 they get a pocket-collapsing interior rusher, and a steal at that. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Ja'Tavion Sanders at the Round 2 slot is money in the bank, a tight end taken below his worth. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
A tidy bit of business in the 64th overall pick, where DJ James graded well above the range. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Renardo Green in Round 3, Pick 32 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A need, and now a little less of one.
Matt Goncalves at pick No. 120 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Nice patience on James Williams, who had no business lasting to the 132nd pick. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Marcus Harris in No. 161 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Anthony Gould at pick 171 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Value with a capital V on Dylan Laube in pick No. 172, a genuine coup. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Taking Trevor Keegan in pick 210 is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. It fills a real need, too.
