Boards are made to be trusted, and the Raiders shredded theirs for DeMonte Capehart. He came off 98 spots early, and the room will hear about it. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.
They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. The Legette pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 13 they get an anchor for the offensive line. The biggest hole, addressed.
Xavier Legette at the 44th pick is money in the bank, a wide receiver taken below his worth. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Good price on Junior Colson in Round 3, Pick 13, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Nothing to complain about; Jarvis Brownlee Jr. went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Joe Milton III at No. 147 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
DeMonte Capehart in slot 190 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
They reached into another round for Isaac Guerendo, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Sheridan Jones in slot 231 lands just on the right side of the ledger. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
