Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Eagles spent pick 160 on Jimmy Horn Jr., a name most had 130 spots down the list.
Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. They will regret leaving cornerback for another day if the season turns on it.
They banked enough surplus on Watts to cover a lot of smaller sins.
Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, cornerback very much included.
Pick-by-Pick
A slide stopped in the 39th pick, with Kenneth Grant worth more than the price. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Jalon Walker in slot 41 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A minor need, but a need all the same.
