The one they had to fix is still broken. The Raiders left wide receiver untouched, and that omission hangs over an otherwise reasonable haul.
The Eichenberg reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. The James pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 13 they get protection for the quarterback. The biggest hole, addressed.
No edge and no loss on Kris Jenkins in the Round 2 slot; it is a wash and a sensible one. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
The board had D.J. James higher than No. 77, and the cornerback fell to them anyway. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They went early on Tommy Eichenberg in pick 112, and the value did not follow. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Joe Milton III in pick No. 150 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Ethan Driskell at the 190th overall pick nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Mark Perry at the 234th pick is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
