No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the Texans.

The Texans did not so much draft De'Corian Clark as overpay for him, 36 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.
A whole weekend of picks and offensive lineman is somehow still a want. Turner falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.
A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 23 they get a problem off the edge, and a steal at that. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
In the 24th pick they get a sticky cover corner. More want than need.
They paid sticker price for T'Vondre Sweat in pick No. 59, and that is fine. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
A straight-up fair deal on Marist Liufau at Round 3, Pick 22, value and slot in agreement. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
The board had cheaper options than Malik Mustapha at slot 123, and it noticed. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
They liked Jaheim Bell enough to skip the value, taking him in pick 127. The roster fit checks out.
De'Corian Clark at No. 164 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Carson Steele this early at pick 239. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Tanner McLachlan at pick No. 248 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
