The Eagles did not so much draft Frank Gore Jr. as overpay for him, 24 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

A whole weekend of picks and cornerback is somehow still a want. With cornerback, interior defensive lineman and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on TE-EDGE is the choice that costs them.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
