The search is over. The Raiders handed the keys to Bo Nix, and the whole operation now runs on his development. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.
The Rogers reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. Walley falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.
A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get the face of the franchise, though they paid up to get him. A real need, handled.
No drama and no debate, Tyler Guyton went about where he belonged in Round 2, Pick 12. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Max Melton at No. 112 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Value said wait; Justin Rogers in the 113th pick says they were not listening. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Drake Nugent in the 124th overall pick is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
They took Jaylan Ford at par in pick No. 150, which is nothing to complain about. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
They will replay Justin Walley at pick 190 for years; that is how good the value is. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Blake Watson in slot 234 is fair value, right on his grade. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
