Draft Profile: Bio
Kamarro Edmonds from Havelock High School was rated a 4-star recruit by ESPN and handed a 4-star grade by 247 Sports. Following high school, Edmonds joined East Carolina. In 2023 as a freshman Edmonds saw action in 6 games for the Pirates as he ran for only 67 yards on 14 attempts for 4.8 yards per carry, with 2 TDs, with no fumbles. As a receiver he made only one reception for 3 yards.
Scouting Report: Strengths
- Has good burst to and through the hole. A patient runner with good vision and burst for the cutback. Squares his shoulders and can knock the defender back onto his heels. Good leg drive and forward lean to gain extra yardage after contact.
- Difficult to bring down one-on-one in space, regularly sidesteps would-be tacklers and uses offhand to use oncoming defenders' momentum against them without slowing down significantly.
- Very physical runner; keeps his legs churning on contact. Rarely goes down with the first hit. Lowers shoulder into defenders and shows pure determination with natural running skills to break free and stiff-arm and spin move to dodge tacklers.
- Edmonds brings a nice blend of size, speed and power. His best attribute is his relentlessness; Edmonds consistently thrashes through tacklers to turn minimal gains into long ones.
- He has the flexible ankles to turn the corner and get around the perimeter when the opportunity presents itself.
- Edmonds aggressively finishes runs and consistently falls forward in a crowd. His low pad level and a bit of wiggle keep him from absorbing big hits.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- His hands are good, but Edmonds doesn’t show much feel as a route runner and might not be a guy you flex out wide.
- Edmonds isn’t going to overwhelm opposing defensive backs with speed and athleticism.
- Possesses broad shoulders and a heavily built upper body but only an average base.

For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.
*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
