Kamari Wilson from IMG Academy High School was rated a 5-star recruit by ESPN and handed a 4-star grade by 247 Sports. Following high school, Wilson opted to join Florida after being heavily recruited.In 2022 as a freshman Wilson saw action in 12 games and played a total of 294 snaps at safety for the Gators. He recorded 16 tackles, 16 assists, while adding 2 stops. In coverage Wilson notched up one pass breakup, no interceptions, and an unimpressive QB rating when targetted of 143.8.
As a sophomore in 2023 he played in just 2 games and logged 20 snaps for the Gators. He made no tackles, one assist, and had no stops. In coverage he totaled no pass breakups, no interceptions, and an outstanding QB rating when targetted of 39.6.
After season's end Wilson transferred to Arizona State where as a junior for the Sun Devils in 2024 Wilson played in 2 games and took part in 32 snaps for the Sun Devils. He chalked up only one tackle, no assists, and added one stop. In the secondary Wilson forced no pass breakups, no interceptions, and gave up QB rating when targetted of 87.5.

- Shows good instincts when facing the action in zone coverage, and Wilson has solid ball skills.
- His ball skills are very good. Wilson tracks the ball well downfield and has the hands and coordination to come away with interceptions even when he isn’t targeted often.
- Does a good job getting his head around in time when playing with his back to the line of scrimmage. Has the ability to cover quickness underneath.
- Flashes intimidating attitude and will crush tiptoeing receivers across the middle.
- He’s physical at the line of scrimmage, showing unexpected power in his hands.
- Wilson has good size and is a fluid mover, capable of mirroring quickness underneath
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Lacks the timed speed to mirror and maintain contact downfield. Loses the ball on slow-developing plays and has a tendency to reach and grab when Wilson gets antsy.
- Needs to get stronger. Too easily lost in the trash. Not a sudden athlete and shows body stiffness when attempting to quickly redirect.
- Despite his size, he’s not an overly physical tackler. Wilson might have to add some weight at the next level in order to become more physical.
