Scouting Report: Strengths
- In the run game, Gadlin plays with a mean streak and does a nice job generating a push at the initial point of attack. Gadlin can get outside and does a decent job landing blocks in space.
- He has the powerful upper body, strong core and the grip to win at the point of attack. He does a solid job as a hand fighter. He also flashes the agility to get around and land blocks as a puller.
- Has the agility, technique, and size to contribute early in his professional career. Quick, active hands to latch on to defenders.
- At his best mauling in the run game, playing with a nasty demeanor and consistently keeping it going through the whistle.
- Gadlin has long arms that allow him to survive as a pass protector on the edge, and he typically plays with good balance.
- Consistently keeps his feet sliding while maintaining power when dealing with speed, often sending speed rushers flying past the pocket
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Has a bad habit of panicking on reach blocks, lunging, and grabbing rather than trusting his athleticism to get him in position, which could lead to frequent flags for holding.
- Raw as a pass protector, looking choppy and unnatural when moving back into his set, often playing too upright.
- Is going to appeal only to man-blocking teams who go run-heavy, and he’s not an option at left tackle.
