Who Will Be the Biggest Movers (Up or Down) in First Round of 2022 NFL Draft?
Here are a few names that can move up and down the draft board tonight in the NFL Draft.
The NFL Draft is all about possibility. Who will go where? What team will make a big splash? Who will fall on draft night?
All those questions will be answered in a matter of hours by the general managers. However, bettors need to know (or have an idea) what’s going to happen in order to get the most out of their bets.
BetSided spoke with Trader John Manica over at WynnBET to get an inside perspective on where the books expect to see the most movement.
“The reach will usually be a freakish athletic guy or a quarterback. At least once, you will say to yourself, 'Really at that spot?'" Manica said. "A team will fall in love with someone slated to go in the second round. Who that is, is really hard to pinpoint.
“(Desmond) Ridder or (Matt) Corral could be that guy someone trades for. (David) Ojabo from Michigan could sneak up the first round. Kyle Hamilton seems to have lost steam at the safety position and linebackers are not getting much love, but I could see someone falling in love with (Nakobe) Dean from Georgia.”
The main prop attached to the movement Manica expects to see is the O/U on quarterbacks taken in the first round. Currently, the line is at 3.0, with the over heavily juiced to -320 and the over is at +260. I find it highly unlikely that four quarterbacks go in the first round, but anything is possible tonight.
Aside from the quarterbacks, WynnBET also is offering a prop on Kyle Hamilton’s draft position. His draft line is at 12.5, with the over at +155 and the under at -190. Hamilton opened up the draft process with a lot of hype and has fallen over the past few months. Many believe he won’t fall past the Washington Commanders at 11, so this prop gives you a little wiggle room if anything crazy happens.
Yesterday, the BetSided team discussed in our “How To Bet The NFL Draft” video that the key to the draft will be Carolina at No. 6. Once we know which direction they go in, the rest of the board will open up.
Because this draft is devoid of a clear No. 1 pick, expect a lot of mock drafts to be ripped up early in the night.
