Draft Profile: Bio
Noah Thomas from Clear Springs High School was rated a 3-star recruit by ESPN and handed a 4-star grade by 247 Sports. After high school, Thomas opted to join Texas A&M.

In 2022 as a freshman Thomas saw action in 8 games for the Aggies as he made 5 receptions for just 51 yards for an average of 10.2 yards per reception, with 2 TDs, and an excellent QB rating when targeted of 120.3.

As a sophomore in 2023 he played 11 games and had 29 catches for 359 yards for an average of 12.4 yards per catch, with 5 TDs, and an excellent QB rating when targeted of 146.7.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Thomas accelerates 0-to-60 and hits top speed fast enough to outrun angles. He’s also flexible and agile, able to keep the pedal to the floor as Thomas turns and weaves.
  • Against defensive backs who are brave enough to play press, his initial quickness should allow him to escape the jam.
  • Has good body strength to squirm out of tackles with the coordination to maneuver his frame between defenders.
  • A versatile weapon, proving to be effective inside in the slot and outside on the perimeter. Makes plays at all levels of the field.
  • Thomas can be nearly unbeatable on contested-catch opportunities, not only because of his length and explosive leaping ability but also because of his strong hands and outstanding body control.
  • He’s at his best working in space, showing the quickness and vision of a return specialist. His stop-start ability allows him to create initial separation.
  • Tracks the ball well downfield and shows good ball skills, including the ability to go up and high-point it in contested-catch situations.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Thomas lacks the twitch to create consistent separation, and despite his size and ability to track the ball downfield, Thomas isn’t great on contested catches.
  • He’ll have to develop a better feel for sitting down against zone coverage.
  • Thomas seems comfortable in traffic to the point where he doesn’t make the effort to create separation.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
