Draft Profile: Bio
Aireontae Ersery from Ruskin High School was rated a 3-star recruit by ESPN and handed a 3-star grade by 247 Sports. Following high school, Ersery opted to join Minnesota. In 2020 as a freshman Ersery saw action in just one game and played a total of 73 snaps for the Golden Gophers. He allowed no QB hurries, one QB hit, and no sacks while playing at right tackle.
As a sophomore in 2021 he played in just one game and a total of 3 snaps. He conceded no QB hurries, no QB hits, and no sacks while playing sparingly.
In 2022 as a junior Ersery saw action in 12 games and totaled 775 snaps. He gave up 8 QB hurries, no QB hits, and 2 sacks while playing at left tackle.
In 2023 as a senior Ersery saw action in 13 games and played a total of 841 snaps for the Golden Gophers. He allowed 9 QB hurries, 4 QB hits, and 2 sacks while playing at left tackle.
Scouting Report: Strengths
- Has the natural power to move defenders at the point of attack. Ersery also has the agility and speed to get out in front and land blocks at the second level. He also shows a good understanding of angles when climbing to the second level.
- Tall with long arms, Ersery has exceptional length and is a violent, aggressive, and precise puncher who can redirect pass rushers.
- Carries his weight naturally, wide-framed with low body fat, along with long arms and large, powerful hands. He moves naturally, with agile feet and the natural balance to mirror in pass protection.
- He also flashes heavy hands and has the ability to knock back pass rushers. Ersery shows a mean streak as a run blocker, doing solid work on the second level.
- Consistently keeps his feet sliding while maintaining power when dealing with speed, often sending speed rushers flying past the pocket
- If a scout were to draw up a starting NFL left tackle, the picture may look like a lot like Adams. His height, length and athletic build are prototypical for the position that helps protect the blind side of ultra-important starting quarterbacks.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Ersery doesn’t have good enough feet to play left tackle at the next level, and his body type would make for a difficult switch to a guard spot.
- Has fairly heavy feet, struggling to mirror against quicker defenders. Ersery lacks the range to get out as an effective puller, and Ersery can often look stiff when moving out into space and zeroing in on bodies.
- Clearly more comfortable moving forward than sliding back as a protector.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank

For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.
*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
